BridgeTower Media acquires ColoradoBiz

BridgeTower Media, which operates business publications across the country, had acquired ColoradoBiz for an undisclosed amount.

Founded in 1973, ColoradoBiz is the largest business publication in Colorado. It has a monthly print magazine and a website.

“Business is booming in Colorado, and we see an opportunity to accelerate growth in ColoradoBiz through this acquisition by leveraging the power of BridgeTower Media’s audience platform and best-in-class capabilities,” said BridgeTower Media President and CEO Hal Cohen in a statement.

ColoradoBiz has been owned by Denver-based Wiesner Media since 1986, when it was called Colorado Business. It was renamed in 1999.

BridgeTower Media is a portfolio company of Transom Capital Group, a private equity firm. Its publications include the Charleston Regional Business Journal, Finance & Commerce in Minneapolis, the Idaho Business Review, Long Island Business News and the Rochester Business Journal.
