Mashable has tapped Alesha Williams Boyd as editor-in-chief, overseeing the brand’s editorial vision and leading its staff.
She starts her new role on Jan. 31.
Boyd recently served as senior digital director at the USA Today Network. Before that, she served as senior digital director for the Northeast, leading the regional digital team for Gannett’s five largest sites in the northeastern U.S.
She has also worked at Asbury Park Press as a staff writer, Monmouth County editor and education editor.
In addition to other NABJ, New Jersey Press Association, Deadline Club, and Gannett honors, Boyd was recognized with a citation from the State of New Jersey and Neptune Township, home of the Asbury Park Press in 2020.
Boyd is a graduate of Monmouth University.
