The Boston Globe has hired Hilary Burns from American City Business Journals to cover higher education.
She has been writing an email newsletter focused on the business of higher education since October 2020.
The newsletter covered competition and strategies, classroom and online learning trends and other topics.
Burns was previously the associate editor of the Boston Business Journal, doing data-driven journalism and digging into stories and special projects in different industries.
Burns also covered community banking at American Banker. She previously covered banking, technology and entrepreneurship at the Charlotte Business Journal.
