Bond Buyer executive editor Funk promoted to senior director of live media

Lynne Funk, the executive editor The Bond Buyer, has been promoted to senior director of strategy and content for live media for municipal finance at parent company Arizent.

Funk will be responsible for the expansion and execution of programming for six major events for The Bond Buyer. She also is tasked with developing new live media formats.

As executive editor of The Bond Buyer, she helped lead and shape its journalism focused on key public finance themes for market participants, hosted The Bond Buyer Podcast and Leaders programs, and managed guest contributions to its Muni Think.

Before that, she was innovation editor.

She started her career in the municipal bond industry in 2006 as an editor and reporter for The Bond Buyer.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
