Bloomberg’s Webb departs for graduate school

Alex Webb

Alex Webb, who has been with Bloomberg News for 13 years, has left to attend graduate school at Stanford.

In his most recent job, he wrote the weekly documentaries for Bloomberg Originals, turning the best of Bloomberg News’s global coverage into compelling shorts that secure a bigger audience than almost anything else the newsroom produces.

He also appeared regularly on Bloomberg TV to comment on the technology industry, contributed a monthly column to Bloomberg Businessweek magazine and wrote various newsletters for different teams.

Webb was also a technology reporter in San Francisco and an industrials reporter in Munich.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
