Kevin Orland, who has been in Toronto to cover banking for Bloomberg News, is becoming an editor on its energy and commodities team.
He will be moving to Calgary later this year.
Orland had been Calgary bureau chief and the Canadian energy reporter for Bloomberg. He has been with Bloomberg since October 2003, originally starting as a general assignment reporter. He was also commodities editor and commodities team leader, and he spent 15 month as the industrial deputy team leader and 14 months as the autos deputy team leader.
He previously worked for the Associated Press in Milwaukee for 18 months.
Orland has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Marquette University and an MBA from Benedictine University.
