I’m delighted to announce that Elizabeth Elkin will be the interim TL for the power and and renewables team while Brian Eckhouse is out on parental leave. Elizabeth joined Bloomberg News in early 2020, just in time to report on the Covid-19 pandemic, and she’s since gone on to impress us mightily on the agriculture and metals team, chronicling the spread of bird flu and the disruption to food and fertilizer supplies in the aftermath of the war in Ukraine, to give just to examples. Elizabeth also has leadership experience as an undergrad at the University of Alabama, where she was editor-in-chief of the college newspaper, and as a post-grad at the University of Missouri, where she was EIC of the school-produced city magazine. She officially takes on May 1 for a six-month stint. Please join me in congratulating her on this new challenge!
