The Bloomberg terminal, one of the primary ways in which Bloomberg News content is distributed, was hit with an outage on Wednesday, reports Steve Goldstein of Marketwatch.com.
Goldstein reports, “Users took to social-media on Wednesday to say Bloomberg’s terminal, an essential tool for trading and communicating for professional investors, wasn’t working with many reporting their terminals went blank.
“A flood of messages on the social-media service X, as well as a spike in complaints on Downdetector, indicated the trouble. On Bloomberg Television, the company blamed a technical issue that wasn’t identified.
“A person familiar with the matter described the issue as ‘internal’ — which means it wasn’t an outside hack.”
