Bloomberg News managing editor for economy and government Mario Parker and Washington bureau chief Peggy Collins sent out the following on Wednesday:
We are thrilled to announce that Jordan Fabian will become White House & Politics Team Leader.
Jordan is a White House veteran, having covered the Barack Obama, Donald Trump (first term) and Joe Biden presidencies as a correspondent and now the second Trump administration as an editor. He joined Bloomberg in August 2019 from The Hill where he was a standout White House reporter.
Some of his Air Force One adventures include flying with Biden to cover an emergency NATO summit after Russia invaded Ukraine and traveling with Trump for four rallies in one day on the eve of the 2018 US midterm elections.
In the last two years, Jordan has seamlessly moved from reporting into editing, utilizing the sharp news judgement, lightening quick, fast-twitch breaking news muscles and elegant prose that served him as a reporter.
As an editor, Jordan’s taken on the White House team’s enterprise and analysis, and driven coverage of the second Trump administration’s global trade wars, collaborating across the newsroom.
A Cornell graduate and an avid golf and hockey fan, Jordan is known for his competitiveness in getting the story accurate, making sure that its comprehensive and delivered to readers quickly.
He begins his new role effective immediately. Please join us in congratulating Jordan.
