Bloomberg taps Davidson as ME for economic policy

Kate Davidson

Washington Bureau Chief Margaret Collins announced that Kate Davidson will become managing editor of economic policy, overseeing Bloomberg News’ coverage of the Fed, Treasury, US economic data and the real economy.

Davidson has covered all of these areas and more as a reporter and editor in Washington for more than 15 years.
Davidson joined Bloomberg in late 2022 from Politico and previously covered monetary and fiscal policy at the Wall Street Journal. She became team leader of Bloomberg’s Federal Reserve coverage last year.
In an internal memo to staff, Collins said: “In her short time at Bloomberg, Kate has broken scoops through her own reporting, driven market-moving coverage of Fed decisions and found creative ways to tell complicated stories.”
