Bloomberg has appointed Isis Almeida as Chicago bureau chief.
Recently, she has been serving as team leader – gas, power and renewables, Europe. Almeida has been with Bloomberg for over 10 years.
During this time, she has held various roles, including senior commodities reporter, deputy team leader – agriculture, metals and mining for the Americas, soft commodities reporter, UK/EU natural gas reporter, agricultural commodities reporter, and senior agricultural commodities reporter.
She was also an assistant editor covering biofuels and gasoline components at S&P Global Platts. She was also a contributor – WSJE Weekend, at The Wall Street Journal.
Almeida is a M.A. in business and finance journalism from City University of London.
