Joe Williams, who joined Bloomberg News in November to cover the world of enterprise software and workplace tools, is leaving and returning to tech news site Protocol.
He will start later this month.
“It’s wild how much I learned at Bloomberg in a very short amount of time,” he wrote on Twitter. “To state the obvious: it’s a place I would encourage any reporter to try to join.”
He was previously at Protocol a senior reporter covering enterprise software, including industry giants like Salesforce, Microsoft, IBM and Oracle.
Before that, he was a senior reporter at Business Insider reporting on artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and other advanced technology, with a focus on how companies are managing their own digital transformations.
Williams graduated from Bradley University.
