Naomi Nix, tech reporter covering social media companies such as Facebook for Bloomberg, has left to join the Washington Post to cover Meta and other social media companies.
“I will be paying special attention to the ways these powerful platforms influence American democracy and global politics,” she wrote on Twitter.
She previously reported on lobbying, tech policy and inequality for Bloomberg.
Before that, she was a senior education reporter at The 74 Media in New York. She has also worked as a general assignment reporter and then as a City Hall and education reporter at The Star-Ledger. Nix was also a general assignment reporter at the Chicago Tribune Media Group.
She was a local editor at Patch.com and an intern at The Washington Post.
Nix has a B.A. from Princeton University.
