Bloomberg reporter Meier’s beat expands to sportswear

Bloomberg News reporter Lily Meier has expanded her beat to include sportswear companies such as Nike, Lululemon, Under Armour and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

She has been at Bloomberg for nearly two years and previously covered breaking business news at The Messenger.

Meier has been covering specialty retailers, chronicling how Gap, Abercrombie and other brands we used to call “mall-based retailers” are trying to maintain relevance in a world where TikTok influencers are the real trendsetters and Temu and Shein have redefined the world of fast-fashion. She also covers retailers such as Best Buy and Dollar Stores.

Meier is a Bates College graduate.
