Payne Lubbers, a foreign exchange reporter at Bloomberg News, has left the news organization for a non-journalism job.
His last day was Wednesday.
Lubbers had been with Bloomberg for the past two years. He previously interned at the Detroit News and The (Raleigh) News & Observer. He a UNC-Chapel Hill graduate in business journalism.
While in college, he was a staff writer at The Daily Tar Heel and editor in chief of the Carolina Political Review.
