Bloomberg has tapped Siraj Datoo to serve as an equality reporter, based in London.
Datoo will cover Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Datoo, who has been with Bloomberg for more than six years, recently held the post of APAC weekend editor. Before that, he was a digital news editor. Prior to Bloomberg, Datoo worked as a UK political reporter at BuzzFeed.
He was founder and editor of The Morning Memo, a daily news roundup targeted at London commuters, sent via email and Instagram. He wrote a weekly column on big data and companies that are effectively using data to grow their companies for The Guardian.
He interned at Quartz, News UK, The Guardian and BuzzFeed. Datoo has a B.A. from the University of Warwick and a M.A. from City University of London.
