Bloomberg News has promoted Christine Buurma to senior editor for energy and commodities.
Buurma, who joined Bloomberg in 2010, edits enterprise stories, investigative projects and breaking news, with extreme weather and climate change as a major area of focus. She also helps to oversee editing for the energy and commodities Americas group, a team of more than 40 journalists in the U.S., Canada and Latin America.
Buurma was a reporter at Bloomberg for seven years covering natural gas and power companies and related markets. She also worked as a reporter for Dow Jones Newswires.
She is a University of Virginia graduate.
