We are thrilled to announce that Justin Sink will become White House & Politics Team Leader and that Laura Davison becomes Money & Politics Czar through the November US presidential election. They will work hand-in-hand to deepen Bloomberg’s coverage of a historic election, delivering smart insightful political journalism centered around the economy, money and the people influencing the outcome.
Justin has covered the White House through three presidents, dating back to 2012. He’s also represented Bloomberg as a board member on the White House Correspondents’ Association since 2021. Known for penning our most impactful political analyses during the biggest moments, Justin has been a deputy on the team since 2023. He’ll deploy his calm-under-pressure demeanor, creative political mind and deep knowledge of the White House to guide our coverage of what’s expected to be a close election.
A former intern, Laura covered taxes for Bloomberg Tax and later Bloomberg News, where she dominated coverage of tax policy on the Hill, including former President Donald Trump’s 2017 tax cuts, the debate around wealth levies and President Joe Biden’s attempts to reshape the tax code. Laura came to the White House & Politics team last year, after an embed on the Wealth team. She’s since established Bloomberg’s Money & Politics squad, working across the newsroom to drive coverage on the money and players exerting influence on the world’s number one economy.
As czar, Laura will look for ways and opportunities to further leverage Bloomberg’s vast newsroom and talent to help us lead competitors on ECOGOV’s core political coverage.
