Bloomberg News has named Craig Trudell as its managing editor for global business coverage in the Americas.
He has been global automotive editor since July 2021.
Before that, Trudell had been Europe automotive and industrial team leader at Bloomberg News, managing a team of reporters in Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy and Sweden.
Trudell joined Bloomberg in 2009 as a reporting intern on the transportation team, covering autos, railroads and airlines. He was then named banks/corporate bonds/stocks reporter. Later on, he became U.S. automotive reporter and then Asia automotive reporter and editor for the company.
After that, he was appointed U.S. automotive team leader managing a team of reporters in Detroit, San Francisco, New York and Chicago.
Trudell was also a reporting intern with Automotive News. He is a graduate of Michigan State University.
