Bloomberg has appointed Brandon Sapienza deputy team leader for breaking news.

“In addition to my current responsibilities as editor, I’ll help run day to day coverage for my team, and work on making improvements to global monitoring systems and train new members to my fantastic team. Excited to see where this journey takes me!”
Sapienza joined Bloomberg in November 2021 as a breaking news editor, and later held the post of business of sports reporter. Before this, he was a national and breaking news reporter at the New York Daily News.
He interned at Fox News Media, New York’s ABC TV station WABC-TV and The Brooklyn Reporter.
Sapienza has a B.A. in journalism from Fordham University.
