Bloomberg names Owram its team leader for wealth coverage

Bloomberg News has named Kristine Owram as team leader for wealth coverage.

She has been an editor on the personal finance team since February 2022 and previously was team leader for U.S. stock market coverage.

Owram has been with Bloomberg for more than six years, joining as Canadian stock market reporter and then serving as cannabis reporter.

Prior to joining Bloomberg, Owram was working as a transportation reporter at National Post. She has also served as an on-air reporter/chase producer at Bell Media and held the post of business reporter/editor at The Canadian Press.

She has also worked as Alberta bureau chief at Canadian University Press.

Owram has a bachelor’s degree in history from University of Alberta and a master’s degree in journalism from Carleton University. Be sure to connect with her on LinkedIn.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
