Neil Munshi, West Africa editor at Bloomberg, based in Lagos, Nigeria, has been named Africa editor. He will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
During his more than 10 years at The Financial Times, he held the posts of Mumbai correspondent, Chicago and Midwest bureau chief, US correspondent/head of US newsletters and West Africa bureau chief.
He was a health and science reporter at the Boston Globe.
