Bloomberg Media, partner launch Japanese content deal

Bloomberg Media and Tokyo Broadcasting System Television announced Monday a new content partnership to bring Japanese news consumers expanded access to business and financial news from Bloomberg through TBS NEWS DIG.

A jointly-branded section of its website will launch June 1.

“Launched only in 2022, TBS NEWS DIG has quickly become an indispensable news destination for Japanese audiences worldwide,” said Takashi Sasaki, president and representative director of TBS Holdings. “This partnership will enhance the website’s business and financial news offering and enable TBS to distribute its content globally.”

Karen Saltser, CEO of Bloomberg Media, said that the five-year partnership agreement would unlock new opportunities for both companies in Japan and internationally.

As part of this partnership, Bloomberg Media Studios and TBS will also share knowledge and expertise to establish a new digital brand studio within TBS, specializing in bespoke Japanese and English-language custom content.
