Bloomberg Law senior investigative reporter Valerie Bauman has been hired by Newsweek to be an investigative reporter.
She will start May 16.
She previously covered health care and pharmaceutical issues for Bloomberg Industry Group. She previously covered immigration, jobs and the economy for The Daily Mail, where she has been for the past year.
Bauman previously joined Newsday in September. 2014 and covered the town of Islip. Before that, she worked at the Puget Sound Business Journal covering health care policy and the marijuana industry.
Before joining the American City Business Journals paper, Bauman worked for the Weber Shandwick public relations firm for 17 months.
She formerly reported for five years for the Associated Press in Albany, New York, and other locations.
