Daniel Cancel, the managing editor for Latin America at Bloomberg News based in Sao Paulo, is moving back to reporting.
He will remain based in Sao Paulo.
Cancel will be responsible for the coverage generated by bureaus located in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela. Cancel was previously the bureau chief in Buenos Aires and Caracas, where he began his career at Bloomberg as a reporter covering the economy and government.
Prior to Bloomberg, Cancel was a freelance reporter for the New York Times in Caracas and taught business English to executives in Barcelona, Spain.
He has a degree in Arts & Sciences from New York University.
