Bloomberg has launched a new global podcast called “The Mishal Husain Show.

The show premieres on Friday.

“The launch of the show is deeply resonant for me, offering the opportunity to speak to people who are at the forefront of these complex times, and those who can help us understand them,” said Husain. “We’ll be able to have conversations of range, depth and consequence, and I hope we will soon prove to be an essential and trusted weekly listen.”

Husain is editor at large for Bloomberg Weekend. She joined Bloomberg in 2025 from the BBC, where she presented its leading news program “Today on BBC Radio 4” for over a decade. Before joining Today in 2013, she was an anchor on BBC World News and has also been a familiar face to UK audiences on the main national news programs.

She was previously based in Washington and Singapore as an anchor for the BBC. Husain has fronted several critically acclaimed documentaries and was awarded the 2024 Charles Wheeler Award for Outstanding Contribution to Journalism, by the British Journalism Review. She has written two books, most recently a family memoir: ‘Broken Threads: A Family From Empire to Independence’, which became a Sunday Times Top Ten bestseller in hardback.
