Bloomberg Industry hires Mudallal as senior digital editor

Bloomberg Industry Group has hired Zainab Mudallal as a senior digital editor.

She has been senior operations editor at The Washington Post’s Opinion section, where she runs reader Q&As, helps optimize stories and execute a digital strategy for the section.

Previously, she worked at Post’s commuter newspaper, Express, as a news, Fit and digital editor at Express, where she edited national and world stories, managed the weekly wellness section, and led the team’s digital and social media strategy.

Mudallal holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
