Bloomberg News has hired Lee Yian as an economy and government reporter in Taiwan.
He will start next week.
Yian is currently an investigative reporter for The Reporter Media Foundation in Taipei City. He previously worked for Initium Media. He started his career as an investigative journalist in 2018, mainly covering environmental and agricultural topics focusing on their implications on domestic or international politics.
His report on the trade wars between Beijing and Taipei on agricultural products was a finalist for the SOPA editorial award of Excellence in Business Reporting.
Yian holds a bachelor’s degree from National Taiwan University.
