Catherine Lucey
Bloomberg White House editor Justin Sink, managing editor for economy & government Mario Parker, and Washington bureau chief Peggy Collins sent out the following on Monday:
We are excited to announce that Catherine Lucey will be joining Bloomberg News as a White House correspondent.
Catherine comes to us from the Wall Street Journal, where she covered both the former Trump administration and the Biden administration. Her deeply sourced reporting and distinctive features included coverage of the post-pandemic inflationary headwinds, as well as coverage of the Trump campaign.
She is a veteran of wire reporting — before the Journal, she worked for the Associated Press’ White House team. A quick glance at her bylines and newsmaking interviews with President Trump, Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and top officials across multiple administrations underscore the depth of her experience and skill in generating exclusives and scoops.
Before coming to DC, Catherine spent four years reporting on politics and government in Iowa.
At Bloomberg, Catherine will take point on our coverage of the US Trade Representative and Commerce Department while working closely alongside our national security team.
Catherine starts on March 24. Please join us in welcoming her.
