Bloomberg hires Wang to cover regional banks

Bloomberg News has hired Yizhu Wang as a regional banking reporter.

Wang has been at S&P Global Market Intelligence as a fintech reporter. She held the same post at Mergermarket.

Wang was also an editorial assistant at Forbes and a business reporting intern at Brightwire via Dow Jones News Fund.

She was also a reporting intern with EdScoop at Scoop News Group. Wang has held the posts of reporter and enterprise reporter at Missouri Business Alert and the Columbia Missourian, respectively.

Wang holds an M.A. in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
