Bloomberg News has hired Paul Takahashi to cover U.S. shale oil companies out of its Houston bureau.
He starts on Monday.
Takashashi has been at the Houston Chronicle as a real estate reporter. He was previously covering real estate for the Houston Business Journal.
Before joining the Business Journal, Takahashi was a staff reporter for the Las Vegas Sun for four years, covering education. He also held editorial positions at The Jersey Journal in New Jersey and The Times in Johannesburg, South Africa.
He earned both master’s and bachelor’s degrees from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
