Bloomberg News has hired Marcelo Rochabrun to be its Peru bureau chief.
He was at Reuters in Peru covering that country and Latin American mining.
He previously was in Sao Paulo for Reuters covering Uber, Embraer, airlines and automakers in Latin America.
Rochabrun previously was a stringer for the New York Times in Peru and also worked at ProPublica as a senior reporting fellow.
He is a graduate of Princeton University, where he was editor in chief of the student newspaper.
