Bloomberg hires Ng as senior editor for Asia finance and investing

Serena Ng

Luo Jun, managing editor for Asia finance & investing, and Sree Vidya Bhaktavatsalam, senior executive editor for finance and legal, sent the following on Monday to Bloomberg News staffers.

Hi all, we’re very excited to welcome Serena Ng to Bloomberg News in Singapore, where she’ll be a Senior Editor for Asia Finance & Investing. Serena will work closely with reporters across teams and bureaus to help shape our coverage of the financial industry and the real estate markets in Asia, including some of the world’s largest banks, hedge funds, private equity firms and property developers.
Serena joins us from The Wall Street Journal, where she was most recently Asia Finance Editor overseeing a team of reporters to cover markets, deals and financial institutions in the region. Serena, a familiar name to many of us in the newsroom, was part of WSJ teams that won a Gerald Loeb award for beat reporting in 2007 and breaking news in 2008, and other US journalism awards for their coverage of the global financial crisis.
When she’s not working, Serena can usually be found rock climbing, cycling, or playing badminton with her two sons. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome, and add her to your relevant SPDLs and IBs. Thank you.
