Bloomberg News has hired Rachel Metz to cover artificial intelligence.
She has been a CNN senior tech writer based in San Francisco and covering artificial intelligence, virtual reality and augmented reality.
She came to CNN Business from MIT Technology Review, where she had been a senior editor for mobile covering the ways humans and machines are connected. Before that, she was at the Associated Press from March 2007 to January 2012, where she also covered tech. Her writing has also appeared in The New York Times and Wired.
Metz is a graduate of University of California-Berkeley.
