Toronto Star business reporter Jacob Lorinc has been hired by Bloomberg News to cover the North American mining industry.
He will start later this month. Lorinc had been with the paper since January 2021, focused on economics, labor and independent business.
Lorinc previously was a small business reporter for The Hamilton Standard and as a breaking news reporter for the Star.
He also worked as a digital editor of The Globe and Mail and as an enterprise reporter for the Brunswick News.
He is a graduate of the University of Toronto.
