Bloomberg News has hired Eliyahu Kamisher as a California reporter.
He has been the Bay Area News Group’s transportation reporter, writing for The Mercury News and East Bay Times. He got his start in journalism covering the Israeli police and then as a foreign correspondent for the German Press Agency.
Before joining The Mercury News, Kamisher worked as a freelancer with stories across California.
He graduated from Cal-Santa Barbara with a degree in political science and economics.
