Bloomberg hires Gould as ECM reporter

Ryan Gould

Bloomberg News U.S. deals team leader Matthew Monks sent out the following on Tuesday:

We are super excited to announce that Ryan Gould has joined Bloomberg News’ deals desk in the US as our new ECM reporter. The capital markets beat is picking up and Ryan will bring his scoop-getting chops to the biggest IPOs, SPAC deals and direct listings. He’ll also put his deep sourcing network to work on the M&A front too.

A UK native, Ryan joins us from Mergermarket and Dealreporter, where he has worked since 2019 covering sectors including EMEA, industrials M&A, ECM, Tech and Media M&A. Ryan’s great scoops during that time have included FIS’s spinoff plans for its payments arm and take-private interest in NCR and Simcorp.

A fervent fan of the Premier League’s Manchester United, Ryan spends his free time cooking in the French tradition and doting on a 85-pound Bernese mountain dog, Leo. Please join us in welcoming Ryan to Bloomberg News and to the team!
