She joins from NBC News, where she was a social newsgathering reporter. Before that, she served as a user generated content producer and digital reporter for NBC Boston.
She was an executive producer at butv10 in Boston and has interned at News 12 Long Island in Woodbury, New York and WABC-TV in New York.
Fichtel graduated from Boston University.
