Gerry Doyle
Gerry Doyle has been hired by Bloomberg News as global defense editor.
He starts his new job on Monday and will be based in London.
Doyle is an editor on the global news desk at Reuters. He has been posted overseas for 13 years, 10 of them in Asia, with a recurring focus on defense and security. A native of Kansas City, Mo., he has degrees in journalism and philosophy from the University of Kansas.
He previously was deputy business editor for Asia at The New York Times. Doyle also worked at the St. Petersburg Times and the Chicago Tribune, as well as The National.
