Bloomberg News has hired Alicia Caldwell to cover immigration.
She will start in January.
Caldwell covered immigration for The Wall Street Journal, with a focus on everything from border security to the impacts of immigration inside the U.S. She joined the Journal from the Associated Press in August 2017.
She has reported on immigration since 2005, starting at the border in El Paso, Texas, before moving to Washington and now Los Angeles. She started her career as a crime reporter in Philadelphia and later Orlando.
Caldwell is a graduate of the University of Arizona and also earned a master’s degree in journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.
