Bloomberg has hired Beril Akman as a reporter covering the Turkish economy.
Akman previously was at BBC News in Turkey since November 2018. While there, she focused on social media trends and internet culture.
She also worked as a media analyst in the U.S. Embassy in Ankara.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in international affairs from George Washington University.
