Mark Schoifet has retired from Bloomberg News after 22 years with the news organization.
He started on the bonds and foreign exchange team in 2004 and created Bloomberg’s first obituary team in 2007.
Schoifet was then U.S. team leader for world news, and was also on the state and municipal bonds team editing New York coverage. During COVID, he ran the Coronavirus Update blog and was an editor in the national news team when he retired.
He started he career as a daily newspaper reporter for the New Brunswick, NJ, Home News.
Schoifet is a graduate of Syracuse University.
