Bloomberg Businessweek editor Brad Stone and deputy editor Mark Milian sent out the following announcement on Tueday:
Team, we’re pleased to welcome Julia Rubin to Businessweek as editor of the In Depth section and our other story packages. Julia will work with the Businessweek staff to set the magazine’s priorities for the subjects we’ll go deepest into each month and assign and edit stories from writers inside and outside the newsroom. She’ll also contribute to other parts of the magazine in digital and print.
Julia comes to us from Vox Media, where she spent over a decade in various roles overseeing consumer and culture coverage as well as feature reporting and podcasts. Most recently as senior editorial director, she injected a magazine-like spirit into Vox’s digital report, and her work has graced the pages of multiple BW Jealousy Lists. A graduate of Penn, Julia interned at Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel before making the jump to journalism as an editor at Styleite, Teen Vogue and Racked. She will instantly become one of the most stylish people on staff when she starts on June 30.
