Bloomberg has tapped Saritha Rai to serve as Asia artificial intelligence reporter.
In her new role, she will cover startups, innovation, big enterprises, of regulation of AI in India, China, Japan and South Korea. Recently, she held the post of India technology correspondent.
Previously, Rai was at Forbes, where she served as a contributor and contributing editor for Forbes Asia. There, she covered Indian business and their transition to the new economy. She also contributed to Indian Express in India and was a columnist at both CBS Interactive and The New York Times, where she also worked as a business and tech writer.
She was also a technology correspondent at Time magazine.
Rai has degrees from Bangalore University in India and Stanford University.
