Recently, El-Katatney worked as a freelance newsroom strategist.
Previously, she was a young audiences editor at The Wall Street Journal. She served as a senior producer, executive producer and senior executive producer at AJ+ in Washington, D.C.
Her freelance work appeared in CNN, CNNI, MSNBC, RT, BBC, Al-Jazeera and ABC. She worked in Egypt as a researcher-reporter for The Cairo Review for Global Affairs and as a staff writer for Egypt Today Magazine.
El-Katatney has a B.A., M.A., and M.B.A. from the American University in Cairo.
