Bloomberg, AppliedXL launch AI-powered biotech news feed

Bloomberg and AppliedXl have launched an artificial intelligence-powered real-time news feed covering biotech for terminal clients.

Bloomberg terminal users will be alerted to issues in clinical trials of new drugs and other events that may move the markets. They will also get analysis of how those issues impact an individual company as well as related companies and markets.

“We’re excited to empower Bloomberg terminal uses with AppliedXL’s well-formulated, real-time news briefings that help them get ahead of the curve,” said Francesco Marconi, co-founder and CEO of AppliedXL, in a statement.

AppliedXL has developed and audited its artificial intelligence in collaboration with journalists who use their expertise to review data, help develop interpretations, and validate the quality of the output during the AI training process.

The AI technology runs an automatic fact-checking process to help decipher accurate information.
