Bloomberg adds two to London breaking news team

Bloomberg News has added two journalist to its breaking news team in London.

Chloe Meley

Chloe Meley is joining the team after a year at Citywire, where she covered investment platforms and the intersection of technology and finance.

She previously worked at BusinessBecause.

Meley holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Surrey and a master’s degree of City University of London.

Maggie Shiltagh

Maggie Shiltagh is joining the team after more than eight years at The Economist as a data journalist and editorial researcher.

She has also written for the Middle East & Africa and Books and Arts sections of the publication.

Shiltagh holds a bachelor’s degree from Durham University.

Both will report to Tiago Alfaro.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
