Biz journalist Guerrera joins UBS

Francesco Guerrera

Longtime business journalism Francesco Guerrera has joined UBS as global head of corporate communications.

He most recently was global economics editor for Reuters Breakingviews.

He previously was deputy editor of La Repubblica, Italy’s biggest publication, as deputy editor, overseeing financial and economic coverage.

Previously, he served as editor-in-chief of GlobalData Plc, which has news sites covering everything from health care to consumer goods, mining, finance and technology. Before that, he was head of international at Barron’s Group at Dow Jones & Co.

He also served as head of Europe for Dow Jones and was associate editor and chief financial correspondent for Politico Europe.

There, he launched and helmed the coverage of its financial services. He was also global finance editor at The Wall Street Journal and has worked at The Financial Times.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
