Axios business editor Kate Marino has been promoted to executive editor of the national newsroom.
She replaces Aja Whitaker-Moore who was named editor-in-chief of Axios last week.
“She is a smart, tested leader who will be immensely helpful in continuing to make Axios the top source of news and expertise for our readers,” said Whitaker-Moore. “We’re excited to have Kate joining our editorial leadership team.”
Before joining Axios in 2021, Marino worked at Debtwire, where she held several leadership and reporting roles including managing editor. A New York City resident, Marino graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2002.
