Ben Berkowitz has been promoted to head of news at Axios.
In this role, he will manage the daily essential newsletter (Axios AM, PM, Finish Line), newsdesk, and audience teams.
He has been managing editor of business and markets. Berkowitz oversaw all of Axios’ business and markets coverage and products, including newsletters such as Axios Pro Rata, Axios Macro, Axios Markets, Axios Closer and Axios Crypto.
Berkowitz has been a business journalist for more than 25 years. His experience includes time at CNBC, Reuters, Fidelity Investments, AOL and the AP.
Currently based in New York City, Berkowitz attended the University of Southern California.
